Spirited Away Image Album – Joe Hisaishi Vinyl LP

Before Spirited Away reached theaters, Joe Hisaishi composed this image album from poetic notes Hayao Miyazaki wrote while developing the film. Several guest vocalists sing lyrics by Miyazaki, alongside instrumental pieces such as "Chihiro's Waltz." The ten tracks move from the gentle "To the River That Day" to "The Bathhouse" and "White Dragon," giving an early, dreamlike glimpse into the spirit world. This 2020 Studio Ghibli Records pressing was the album's first release on vinyl, with new remastering and fresh watercolor art: the bathhouse on the front, and Chihiro with her parents on the back. It's a lovely pick for Ghibli collectors and vinyl fans alike, and comes with its obi strip.
