Ghibli Museum Soot Sprite Plate – 9.4 in Original Museum Design

Bring a little bit of the Ghibli Museum home with this soot sprite plate, an original design from the museum in Mitaka, Tokyo. Dozens of fuzzy soot sprites (makkuro kurosuke) dance around the wide rim, each one with its own little expression when you look closely. A soft sage-green line traces the scalloped edge and frames the clean white center, giving it a light, classic café look. The artwork is based on Hayao Miyazaki's gentle watercolor designs made for the museum café. At about 9.4 inches across, it's a great size for dinner, desserts, or display, and it comes in its original green gift box.
